It is now quite apparently clear that we are facing a longer recession than expected, increasingly unfavorable employment prospects, and increasing food costs too boot. It is indeed the right time to ponder and rethink our lifestyles, amidst shrinking budgets for basic daily necessities like food and gasoline. If you are considering whether to buy that hybrid car, the truth is that buying a Hybrid Car will not solve all your problems. However, it will help to lighten your burden of ever changing gasoline prices for your tightening budget over time. I am sure we all like the idea of halving our gasoline fuel consumption by at least half. Now you can do it with a Hybrid car. But why might want to use Hybrid Cars when your conventional car is still working well, you ask. For one thing, your current gasoline guzzler is consuming gasoline at the rate of 3 tanks a week and it is obviously polluting the environment with toxic fuel emissions. You might not care much about that as everybody else is doing it. But surely a broken ozone is not the legacy you would like to pass on to your next generation. And I shall not reiterate again that hybrid cars score best at increasing the miles per gallon. Some 2009 models are even promising 50 miles per gallon as a benchmark. Compare this to your 18 miles per gallon conventional gasoline powered station wagon. Hybrid Cars have broken into the car scene just a couple of years ago and have since dominated 4 percent market share of the total car market. The US government is encouraging us to go hybrid by giving away extensive tax credits. And speaking of parking lots, you would have realized that there are specific, convenient and free parking lots drawn up just for hybrid cars. These are just but a few of many contributions of how the government and society are doing their bit, in rewarding hybrid cars owners. And to top it off, to be fuel efficient, hybrid cars must be aerodynamically designed which means to say that most hybrid cars are natural head turners than your conventional gasoline guzzling sedans or four by four jeeps.
